DroneAcharya, an Indian firm, is developing talent for the drone industry.
Drones are a tried and true technology in a variety of sectors today. However, with the abundance of chances that it presents, there is a growing demand for talent and experience. Although the United States, Germany, China, and the United Kingdom have made great progress in terms of drone numbers and pilots, India is not far behind, thanks to a concerted push from its government. The government and private organisations are both working on drone projects. However, certified drone pilots are in short supply.
DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations, recognising this critical gap in the market, has become a DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) – Authorised Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO), with the goal of transforming India into a Global Drone Hub by 2030.
Their primary goal is to upskill the future generation in order to meet the growing demand for certified personnel in the Indian drone sector.
They have highly skilled DGCA Certified Drone Instructors and offer the best inline international-grade equipment for training. Amit Takte and Neha Patil, DroneAcharyas’ teachers, have a combined 25 years of hands-on expertise and more than 500 hours of flying time. Students can feel safe knowing they are learning from one of the greatest in the country.
“I would say the practical exposure, overall expertise, and experience in the UAV sector is what sets us apart,” Amit Takte, VP Operations, said when asked how DroneAcharya stands out as a training organisation. Our mission isn’t just to train our candidates how to operate a drone; it’s also to make sure they have access to a variety of job options and excel at them.”
DroneAcharya has announced India’s first ALL WOMEN’S DGCA drone pilot certification batch to address the issue of the glaring gender inequality in the ratio of males to women drone pilots. “We are seeing an increase in the number of women in boardrooms today.” DroneAcharya’s Founder and CEO, Prateek Srivastava, says, “We want to recreate that in the Indian drone airspace as well.”
Apart from that, they provide a wide range of drone solutions and services, thereby making them a one-stop shop for all things drone. Drone surveying, data processing, mapping, drone delivery, drone insurance, and training are just a few of their offerings. They’ve teamed up with ICICI Lombard to offer drone insurance that’s both comprehensive and third-party. They also teamed up with Flipkart to use drones to deliver COVID-19 vaccines.
DroneAcharya is planning a global growth, with offices in North Carolina and the United Arab Emirates already open. They are also actively partnering with industry leaders for both hardware and software to increase their offerings portfolio. SPH Engineering, a Latvian manufacturing business that produces specialised drone sensors and software, and Epic Games, an American video game and software producer, are among its partners.
