DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Microavia, a Dubai-based firm, has joined the Drone Logistics Ecosystem to work with existing members to standardise the drone delivery sector. Microavia develops and manufactures an ecosystem of autonomous flight goods. Multifunctional autonomous landing stations, efficient long-range copters, payloads, smart fleet management, and positioning systems are all part of the company’s product line.

A DIB unit, also known as a “drone port,” is made up of a station, a drone, and a flight management system (UTM). A weather-proof “drone port” equipped with auto-land systems, data transmission services, a battery swapping unit, and other utilities can be used to refuel and safeguard an autonomous drone, according to the DIB idea. This opens up a world of possibilities for industrial applications such as distribution, monitoring, and structural inspections.

“Despite regulatory obstacles and large businesses’ issues with drone delivery, there are some truly intriguing situations driving the sector forward — Manna, Zipline, Wingcopter.” Microavia believes that the robotic BVLOS platforms have a lot of potential, especially for regular last-mile delivery missions in crowded regions. As a result, we keep our R&D staff focused and continue to explore. Joining DLE has been a significant step forward, allowing us to match our vision with those of the other participants and contribute to the development of a safer and more convenient ecosystem for everyone,” says Alexey Lapirov, CEO of Microavia.

Ecosystem of Drone LogisticsTM

Drone Logistics Ecosystem (DLE) is a free, global multidisciplinary “quadruple helix” network of companies, universities, government agencies, and investors that promotes drone logistics innovation, collaboration, and standardisation.

The Drone Logistics Ecosystem’s goal is to bring together stakeholders in the drone logistics sector under one roof to help Drone Logistics members commercialise and promote their solutions. Since the industry’s inception, the majority of companies have had limited access to funding, manpower, and expertise, making us an ideal platform for companies to lend their expertise for joint product development, consulting, or simply as subcontractors, or for any other format of cross-disciplinary/border collaboration.

The Drone Logistics Ecosystem has a number of advantages.

An open Drone Logistics Ecosystem ensures inclusivity for all industry stakeholders.

Global standardisation to ensure the seamless and efficient flow of goods from the factory to the final client.

A win  -win situation for all parties involved in this burgeoning industry, including the delivery and courier industry, as well as, most crucially, the clients.
